What is a peaberry? A peaberry is a natural mutation of the coffee bean inside its cherry. Normally coffee beans have two seeds in each fruit, flat against each other like halves of a peanut. However, in only 5% of the world’s coffee beans, there’s a single seed called a peaberry. A peaberry tastes noticeably sweeter, brighter and more flavorful than other coffee beans.
